BEFORE THE EXPERIENCE

Sharing your knowledge is the best a professional can do to improve the quality of life of people who do not have the opportunity to study or prepare better to face life. On the other hand, this is a great opportunity to test many of your personal and professional skills. And finally you will have the opportunity to travel in a totally different way to the traditional way, fully entering into communities with simple and friendly people with whom you rarely have the opportunity to live together.

Doing an on-site and desktop consulting work that allows proposing improvement projects or planning new strategies for change to the micro-companies of the community that attend or teach in one of our educational or training programs.

The assignment has a minimum duration of 7 calendar days and the maximum is what the volunteer wants and can be planned well in advance.

The money covers the expenses of your accommodation, meals, local transportation, volunteer service, program materials and administrative and operational expenses of the programs. On the other hand, a percentage of the payment goes to the host foundation which is the on-site link between the community and the volunteer.

APPLICATION PROCESS

The minimum age is 21 years old.

30 days before the start date of the program.

The dates of execution of the programs are planned in advance in conjunction with the volunteer or the sponsor.

If you apply as an independent volunteer you can apply at any time and we will notify you at least 30 days in advance of the start and execution dates of the programs. If you apply with a sponsor, the planning will be done with the sponsor and he will inform you of the start and execution dates of the programs.

To apply individually, just fill out the registration form and we will contact you to continue the process. If you apply as part of a team managed by a sponsor, you can register on the registration form and we will notify you of your interest or you can contact your company to invite them to the program as a sponsor or they can invite you and follow the internal procedure the sponsor defines.

BEFORE VOLUNTEERING

There are no legally required vaccines for this area, however it is advisable to have updated some of them as Tetanus-Diphtheria, Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B. We recommend applying during the month prior to your stay, vitamin B12 that serves as a mosquito repellent itself.

Yes. It is mandatory to have medical insurance for major expenses with coverage in Mexico. Please check with your company what kind of coverage you have outside of your country.

The programs are designed to leave a long-term impact on the community and the immersion activities will allow you to get to know more about the culture of the community.

Of course, although volunteering requires a lot of initiative, after having accepted your application, a coordinator will contact you to plan your stay. We will give you all the necessary support to make this experience memorable. On the weekend of your arrival we will give you an introductory guided tour about the culture of the region, the care of the aquifer and the development of the program.

Excellent !. Your partner or friends can be part of the team to cover some of the programs. It is important to note that the rate is individual.

DURING THE EXPERIENCE OF BEEING A VOLUNTEER

The minimum stay we request is 7 calendar days with a maximum that allows your Visa, permit or National Tourist policies depending on your country of origin.

Since the volunteer arrives at the airport and until the day of departure there will be a person who will guide and support you at all times. The volunteer can approach him or her to clarify any questions.

Yes. We suggest you take some money in cash at any time since in these communities there are no ATMs nearby or card payments.

In Riviera Maya the weather is warm all year round. The rainy season starts in June and ends in October. The dry season is generally from November to May. The average temperature during the year varies between 25oC – 30oC during the day and 20oC – 25oC during the night.

Regularly volunteers will have free time to do planned activities of immersion in the community and recommended excursions.
